Tad Smith worked for two Phoenix advertising agencies before starting The Design Idea Graphic Design & Communications in 1995 with wife, Heather. Tad has designed dozens of tourism-related publications for clients, such as the Arizona Office of Tourism. In 2001 Tad designed The Phoenix Open publication, and became the official designer for Diamondbacks Magazine for the World Champion Arizona Diamondbacks.
Tad is well-known for his colorful, whimsical illustrations and as a hobby enjoys creating 'Picasso-style' paintings of his kids, pets, and family.
