LONDON,UK—November 17, 2005—The judging of illustrations for The Association of Illustrators Images 30 Annual and exhibition has recently taken place, and once again, Giulio Iurissevich will be included in the publication.

The only jury-selected annual in the UK, Images represents a review of the year's best contemporary illustration, providing an indispensable tool for leading commissioners and industry professionals. An international panel of judges, including highly regarded commissioners of illustration, successful illustrators and cultural commentators, marks each entry according to how well the work fulfills the brief, originality, and technical ability. The chosen works are published in the Images annual and a selection of these works included in the accompanying Images exhibition at a central London venue and the nation wide Images tour.

Images is an awards book and touring exhibition. Annually distributed, free, to over 4000 commissioners, the Images book is considered British illustration's most important document. Each year the contents are selected from hundreds of entries by seven separate juries of influential figures in the creative industry - art directors from advertising, periodical and book publishing, illustrators' agents and practicing illustrators. The featured work is by artists at all levels of experience and covers all the fields in which illustration is commissioned or inspired.

The AOI was established in 1973 to advance and protect illustrator’s rights and encourage professional standards. The AOI is a non-profit making trade association dedicated to its members’ professional interests and the promotion of illustration.

Show Details: The Association of Illustrators presents Images 29 from 20 to 30 July 2005 at the Mall Galleries in London. The show includes 200 (touring 70) award winning works from the established and new talents of British illustration. Images 29 provides an ideal overview of the wealth and variety of work being produced in the UK today from traditional line drawings to the newest digital techniques. On display are the original artworks featured in the only jury-selected illustration annual in the UK and commissioned by such companies as the BBC, Royal Mail, Conran Ltd and the national press. All the work is published in the Images 29 annual, out in July 2005. Images 29 reveals not just the outstanding talent of a particular year but a remarkable résumé of the trends and turbulence that have shaped today’s industry.

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona—April 06 2005—Recently, two Store 44 Reps artists were included in prestigious national and international publications.

Valley-based photographer Wayne Rainey was selected to represent Arizona in PDN’s (Photo District News) The Fifty States Issue. Published in February and presented online in March, the issue highlights the work of 50 photographers from across America while touching upon the photographic climate and uniqueness of each artist’s home state. His black and white portrait of architect and philosopher Paolo Soleri is featured in the article available for viewing online at www.pdnonline.com
